POLICIES & PROCEDURES

 

Office Hours:  Our office is open  from 3 to 9 p.m. daily from June 1st-Oct 31st. Winter office hours are from Nov 1st to May 31st, Sunday thru Thursday 3 to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday 3-9 p.m.  If we are unable to answer the telephone, please leave a message as we may be out assisting a guest.

OCCUPANCY

Each cottage has a set occupancy that can be found under the individual descriptions. Our occupancy policy is necessary for your comfort and safety, we take it very serious. Children 12 and over are considered to be adults when booking, babies are to be included as children. Please take the time to review the accommodations of each cottage to find the one that will suit your needs best before making a reservation.

*Please Note: Guests found violating the set occupancy  limits will result in eviction without refund. 

GROUPS

Groups coming to relax and reconnect are welcome. If  however your “group” typically doesn’t start the party until 9, and needs to relegate a member to coordinate the drinking games, travels with an extra table, canopy and/or boom box, Sunny Brook isn’t for you.  Our quiet time starts at 10:00. We do recommend that each member of your party chooses and books their own cottage. Should you book as a group, the credit card on file is ultimately responsible for all damages, cancellations, and short stays.

CHECK IN & CHECK OUT

Check in time is 3:00 to 9 p.m. daily during the summer. Check in during the winter is from 3-9 p.m. Friday & Saturdays, and 3-8 p.m. Sunday-Thursday. You must make arrangements with the office if you will be arriving later than designated office hours.

Check out is 10:30 a.m. It is important that you check out on time so we have ample time to prepare for the next guest.

  • We expect you to leave the cottage as you found it by washing your dishes, emptying the refrigerator, closing windows, shutting off lights, and double checking for personal items (especially phone chargers). We are not responsible for items left behind. We do not expect you to strip the beds.
  • Leave cottage key in the drop box next to the office door so we know you have left.

VISITORS

Guests are welcome to have day visitors at no extra charge, as long as their presence does not exceed the set occupancy limit of the cottage. All visitors must check-in at the office. Day visitors are required to leave by 10:00 pm 

PARKING

All cottages have a driveway that will fit one car. Cottages #3 and #9 have room for two vehicles.

DAMAGES

We inspect each cottage before and after your stay. Should we find any unreported damages, we reserve the right to charge the credit card on file for that cottage.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you need to cancel your reservation, please let us know as soon as possible. With a two-week notice, we will return your deposit, less a $15 cancellation fee. Shorter notice is subject to loss of entire deposit.

Cancellations are only accepted over the phone.

PET POLICY

  • Clean up after your pets, even in the woods. We have compostable doggie waste bags and have designated areas on the property for disposal.
  • Keep your pets on a leash when outside. Do not tie them up them outside alone.
  • Crate your pets when left inside. If they continually barks or disrupts others, he/she cannot be left in the cottage at all.
  • Bring your own food and water bowls, and litter box.
  • You are responsible for any damages that are the result of your pet. These damages include but are not limited to any property damage and personal injury.
